My Good Food Friends –  

As a long-time Member of the Seattle Gospel Announcers Guild and Gospel Industry professional, this following little story is personally exciting, uplifting and inspiring to me: The ‘introduction’ of the wholesome, healthful benefits of Organic Good Foods to the Gospel Music and Industry audience.  This is an audience, and an entire community, with any number of health concerns: diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, blood pressure, obesity, energy, stamina, appearance. 

Through ‘song and story, facts and FOOD’, I, my Good Food Guide, Dennis, and our Artist Ambassadors are going to make that healthful difference in this vastly underserved, but so much in need, market. 

The significance of the event was picked up in the Fall 2008 “THE ORGANIC REPORT” - ‘News Bites’: “Dennis Weaver, Founder of Change Your Food - Change Your Life!™, was interviewed for BK Osborne’s “nwGospel Music Explosion”, a program appearing on Trinity Broadcasting Network and broadcast in Washington.” 

The “nwGOSPEL MUSIC EXPLOSION” TBN TV Interview: 

Change Your Food - Change Your Life!™ had the WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY to share The Organic Good Food News with a wide audience: the several hundred attending the TBN, Trinity Broadcasting Network, TV taping session, and of course, with the TBN television audience when my “nwGOSPEL MUSIC EXPLOSION” Show is broadcast in Washington.   

During ‘the delivery’ of the story, Dennis got several “Amen”, “Go Brother!”, “That’s right!” and “Tell it like it is!” right back from the audience.  Now remember, the audience, performing artists and guest Pastors were there to hear a Gospel Concert and NOT there to learn about FOOD or HEALTH, so those enthusiastic, positive reactions to the Change Your Food - Change Your Life! MESSAGE were fantastic!

After the opening three Gospel Choir performances, Dennis was the first ‘Special Guest’ interview.  After his interview, for the next hour and a half in the hallways and corridors of the host Church, Dennis was continually stopped and asked questions about Change Your Food - Change Your Life!, “What is this organic thing all about?”, “Where can I find that Organic Good Food you were talking about?” and “Can I have another CHANGE YOUR FOOD - CHANGE YOUR LIFE!™ Presents: GOOD LiViN’ CD, I gave mine to our Pastor!”  One Pastor came up to Dennis and asked, “What was that new genre you were talking about?”  And when Dennis told him it’s GOOD HEALTH GOSPEL, he said, “Amen on that!”

The importance of this venue, and its potential, can’t be overstated for OUR ‘movement’: Change Your Food - Change Your Life! and The Organic Good Food News took CENTER STAGE!

LSH:  So what’s your newest project?

DLW:  We are soooo EXCITED!  We’re going to be releasing for radio play ALL ACROSS THE USA, our newest song, ‘Til My Change Comes, by Nationally recognized Pastor Gary L. Wyatt & The Jackson Sistas.  ‘Til My Change Comes is THE breakthrough crossover song that PAIRS Gospel with Good Health.  We call our brand new genre, GOOD HEALTH GOSPEL!  ‘Til My Change Comes is an INSPIRATIONAL SONG that DELIVERS HOPE, HEALTH and A GOOD LIFE AHEAD! 

And there’s a great back story to this song.  When I first meet Pastor Wyatt, he knew Organic started with an ‘o’ but that’s about all he knew.  So as with all of our NEW Good Food Friends, I told him some stories and brought him some Organic Good Food.  I told him some more stories … and brought him some more Organic Good Food.  He just didn’t know what he didn’t know.  Now he’s so inspired he’s writin’ and singin’ songs about it … GO-O, and THAT ‘O’ DOES stand for Organic!  And of course, ‘Til My Change Comes.

I made the comment to Pastor Wyatt: You know, Gospel is hot and filth has run its course.  Health is hot and this Nation’s ill-health is a crisis.  So I suggested to him that he and I, a Pastor and a Good Food Guide, go on down that road together, saving and nourishing the Spiritual Soul and saving and nourishing the physical body.  That’d be my vote, ‘cause you NEED both: You’ve got to be GOOD to your neighbor, but you can’t be GOOD to your neighbor unless you FEEL GOOD from the inside out!  You need both: You’ve got to be good to your neighbor and you’ve got to live a good long, vibrant life! 

I said let us be the living example of His love, his strength and his caring leadership … let us be the extension of His strength and caring leadership in our Homes, Schools, Businesses, Churches and Communities.  Let’s share the Good Health Gospel and make that healthful difference in Heart, Mind, Body and Soul!
